Business Breakfast Meeting
Grand Central Hotel, 99 Gordon Street, Glasgow G1 3SF
8 May 2014, 8.00-10.30am
Representatives from the Technology Strategy Board, the UK’s innovation agency, will be visiting Glasgow to talk to businesses about innovation, and explore how TSB support could help companies develop ideas, products and services and bring these to market.
Working with the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and others to stimulate business-led innovation in Scotland, TSB provides a range of tools and funding opportunities for industry, each focused on addressing specific innovation needs and challenges. Much of its support is offered on a competitive basis, where it seeks to fund businesses with the best ideas and with real commercial potential.
This event is free to attend. It will provide a brief overview of TSB strategy and the support it offers, followed by the chance to ask questions and meet the leaders of TSB priority areas.
Senior representatives of the Knowledge Transfer Network will also attend, giving delegates the opportunity to find more about the KTN’s UK-wide network.
The TSB supports businesses of all types and in almost every sector, from start-ups to major corporations. Its main priority areas are: Agriculture and Food, Digital Economy, Enabling Technologies, Energy, Healthcare, High Value Manufacturing, Programme Development, Space, Sustainability, and Transport.
