Demo Zone Exhibitor: Heriot-Watt University

HWUThe Micro Systems Engineering Centre (MISEC) at Heriot-Watt University is a multi-disciplinary team combining a range of technical expertise covering electrical engineering, micromechanics, sensor technology, microwave and antenna engineering and microfluidics. In addition to training high quality graduates, MISEC can provide solutions for the modelling, design and packaging of micro-systems, consultancy services and access to state of the art testing and development facilities. MISEC welcomes research and development programmes at all levels, ranging from international collaborations with multiple partners, to short term consultancy and testing with local SME companies and individuals.

At the Tech Summit

The demo MISEC will show is an on-line solid state sensor technology to directly measure the composition of complex mixtures of liquids/gases. The sensor is primarily aimed at the food and drink industry to provide real time data on composition within production flow lines.
