A Circular Manufacturing Masterclass

20 March – Jurys Inn Hotel, Aberdeen 9.00am-3.00pm
21 March – Heriot-Watt University, Galashiels 9.00am-3.00pm

Zero Waste Scotland has called on Scottish manufacturers to embrace the circular economy, and is running a free, Scotland-wide programme of events aimed at manufacturing industry leaders and specialist technical staff at Scottish SMEs.

Scotland is at the cutting edge of developing a more circular economy – designing products and services to keep materials in use for as long as possible – and harnessing the innovation of our manufacturers could realise huge economic and environmental benefits.

Meet CENSIS at this Workshop

At this event, you’ll hear from Dr Cade Wells, Business Development Manager. Cade will describe how the application of sensors and the ‘Internet of Things’ in the manufacturing sector delivers financial benefits; enabling product servitisation and re-manufacturing.

Cade is a Chartered Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the research and development of embedded systems. Before joining CENSIS, Cade founded and ran an engineering consultancy providing technical and business services to organisations developing electronic products and undertook forensic engineering investigations of electrical and electronic systems. He was also the Engineering Development Manager of a Scottish start-up, successfully developing and bringing to market its first innovative imaging product. Prior to starting his own company, Cade held the position of Lead Electronics Design Engineer at the Institute for System Level Integration.
