  • Considering an application to Round 15 of Scottish EDGE?
  • Does your idea include sensing, imaging or Internet of Things technologies?
  • Could your company benefit from technical guidance before submitting your entry?

CENSIS has partnered with Scottish EDGE to offer advice to companies applying for the latest Scottish EDGE funding round, and whose idea includes sensing, imaging or Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

Scottish EDGE is a competition aimed at identifying and supporting Scotland’s innovative, high-growth potential talent. With two funding rounds per year, it is one of the UK’s largest competitions in this space. Scottish EDGE winners take home a prize of up to £150K plus a substantial business support package.

In the last competition round (Round 14, completed in June 2019), Scottish EDGE awarded more than £1 million to Scottish start-ups.

CENSIS has supported and worked closely with several companies that have gone on to win at Scottish EDGE, including R3-IoT (£100K, Round 14) and Beringar (£75K, Round 13).

Project Clinics

Round 15 of Scottish EDGE launched on 29 July and closes on 4 September 2019.

CENSIS has partnered with the Scottish EDGE team to deliver clinics for companies considering applying in this round. Clinic appointments are free to attend and take place at the CENSIS office in Glasgow.

Each clinic comprises a private meeting with Scottish EDGE CEO, Evelyn McDonald and experts from CENSIS’s engineering and business development teams. You may use the time to talk to us about your application, ask questions and address any points that may help you to clarify your application or position your idea.

Please note that the clinics are not designed to supplement the Scottish EDGE workshops taking place across Scotland. Companies looking for general advice on what makes a strong application, or how best to deliver a video presentation, are advised to book one of the main Scottish EDGE workshops.

Book your appointment

Clinic appointments are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact CENSIS by emailing workshops@censis.org.uk to book your place and be allocated a time slot.
