Put the kettle on and join CENSIS for a catch up over a virtual coffee and connect with other companies, researchers and stakeholders working in the same space.

Led by CENSIS Business Development Manager Cade Wells, this coffee break will look at energy, power generation and renewables.

The Internet of Things is helping to drive transformation across the energy sector, from power generation, through to transmission and distribution; even changing the way customers interact with companies through smart meter devices.  Over the coming years, the energy industry is going to become smarter, more efficient, more distributed and more reliable, thanks in part to IoT.

We’re interested in bringing together people from traditional and renewable energy networks including wind, solar and hydropower, on this call. We don’t prescribe what we’ll talk about on the day; the discussion will be controlled by you and what you want to talk about, but examples might include:

  • Efficiency, control and automation
  • Preventative maintenance, condition monitoring and asset management
  • Digital twin technologies and virtual troubleshooting
  • Distributed power systems and the smart grid
  • Grid management and load
  • Smart meter technologies
  • Improving energy and cost efficiencies

The chat takes place online using Zoom. Just contact us by email if you’re interested and we’ll send you details of how to join in. You can join using audio or video, and we encourage you to join in the conversation to give your thoughts or ask questions.
