Put the kettle on and join CENSIS for a catch up over a virtual coffee and connect with other companies, researchers and stakeholders working in the same space.

Led by CENSIS Business Development Manager Cade Wells, this coffee break will look at cyber security and IoT and the importance of making things ‘secure by design’. On this call we’ll focus particularly on remote and rural communities and businesses particularly in the Highlands and Islands. This might address, but won’t be limited to, application areas such as agriculture, hospitality and tourism, healthcare and fish farming.

We can look at technical challenges, solutions and business opportunities in the space, from both a business and practical engineering perspective; depending on where the discussion goes. We don’t prescribe what we’ll talk about on the day; the discussion will be controlled by you and what you want to talk about, but examples might include:

  • End application areas
  • Common challenges
  • Hardware and software solutions
  • Communication networks
  • Common standards

The chat takes place online using Zoom. Just contact us by email if you’re interested and we’ll send you details of how to join in. You can join using audio or video, and we encourage you to join in the conversation to give your thoughts or ask questions.
