Register for a chance to receive free training to produce carbon emission savings estimates

Scottish Enterprise and its partners are offering up to 40 SMEs the chance to be trained on how to produce a carbon saving estimate, explore improvement opportunities, and use the results to pitch effectively to investors.

  • The course will be delivered online over 4-6 weeks, Jan – Mar 2022
  • Register your interest with CENSIS to be put forward for consideration.
  • Use ‘Carbon emissions savings’ in the subject line
  • Closing date to register interest – 30 November 2021

This course is NOT about calculating your company’s carbon foot-printing – it is about emissions savings from a product or service your company offers.

Participants will receive:

  • Training – on product life cycle carbon saving estimation theory and practice using an industry recognised tool to estimate the carbon emissions of your product or service (compared to the ‘status quo’) and identify improvement opportunities
  • Validation – a review of the carbon saving estimate with feedback, giving confidence in the final estimate and on future use of the tool for new products/services
  • Pitching – training on how best to use the data to effectively tell the carbon story in pitches to investors/partners
  • License – a license to use the tool and supporting resources during the pilot and for a period thereafter for further experimentation and practice

If successful, you will need to commit to a minimum of 10 contact hours with via online group sessions and individual company coaching.
