Background

CENSIS helps companies overcome the challenges they face around the development of sensing, imaging and IoT products and services. In addition to a demonstration area and project development space, we offer regular technology seminars with high profile vendors to provide advice and guidance on how best to use their products to generate greater business efficiencies.

Please join CENSIS, Anglia and Telit-Cinterion for an interactive engineering workshop; another in a series of engineering seminars from CENSIS. The event is free to attend, with refreshments and lunch provided.

Objective

The workshop will update delegates on the cellular network evolution, including 5G and High CAT. Hardware and software solutions will be discussed in technical detail, with a focus on the embedded services, security and connectivity. A hands-on session will also take place on a Telit platform (evaluation board to be supplied and attendees will be able to takeaway) to get the cellular modem connected to the Telit software platform.

Who should attend?

This is a practical, hands-on workshop. It has been designed for hardware and software engineers currently working in the electronics industry, and with an interest in this area.

The workshop is not suitable for undergraduate or taught postgraduate students. Postdoc researchers and PhD candidates may be able to attend, subject to availability. Please contact sian.williams@censis.org.uk in the first instance.

Required kit

You will need to bring your own laptop on the day. You’ll may be asked to download some software before you attend. All delegates will leave with the Telit evaluation board.

Register

Places for this event are limited to 12 delegates, so to join us you must be an engineer with experience or a proven interest in this space.
