Project formats to suit your business needs

Turning an idea in to a new product, breaking into a new market, or implementing cutting edge technologies in your workspace can be complex and challenging.

CENSIS can help you understand and overcome the key, critical stages in the process, and give you the results and confidence you need to take your idea to the next level. We’ve partnered with companies of all sizes – from SMEs and start-ups, to multinationals and the public sector.

We’ve delivered hundreds of projects, using industry know-how, university research expertise and our own in-house teams.

Technology Readiness Levels

Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) describe a technology’s maturity, from core research and invention at TRL 1-3, to commercial maturity at TRL 8-9. TRL 4-7 is where concepts become prototypes and minimum viable products.

Often called the ‘valley of death’, TRL 4-7 tends to be an area in which neither universities nor the private sector prioritise investment. Consequently, many promising technologies can end here. CENSIS projects typically start at TRL 2-3 and close at TRL 5-7, helping companies ensure their idea can work, is scalable, and can support longer-term business goals.
