When you connect with CENSIS, you benefit not only from our expertise but also from a wider community of like-minded companies, individuals and organisations.
Our remit comprises not just project activity but building and supporting the wider innovation ecosystem in Scotland for sensing, imaging and IoT.
As part of our CENSIS community, you can take part in one of our hands-on technical workshops, join in with our IoT meetups to discuss ideas with like-minded people or come along to one of our FutureTech events to solve market sector problems in an open forum.
The highlight of our year is the not-to-be-missed annual CENSIS Technology Summit and Conference, where we hear from challenge owners and solution providers, meet exhibitors who are showcasing new technologies, and network and connect with the sensors, imaging and IoT community.
Our technical workshops are hosted by CENSIS in partnership with high-profile vendors such as Vodafone, Quectel, Anglia, STMicroelectronics EBV Electronic.
These workshops are hands on and help companies overcome challenges and fast-track the development of new products and services.
Aimed at engineers seeking to enhance their skills in new technical areas, they provide practical guidance on how best to use new products to generate greater business efficiencies.
Workshops always focus on practical training and hands-on skills development. Workshops have limited places, are by application only and normally fill fast.
Our IoT Glasgow Meetups are informal evenings of presentations, discussions and networking around all things IoT.
Fuelled by free pizza and drinks, our Meetups help connect people and enlighten us all to new trends, technologies, partnerships and opportunities.
Presentation slots range from five-minute ‘lightning talks’ to longer thought leadership pieces on IoT topics and technologies. Anyone interested in securing a spot should contact Stephen Milne at CENSIS.
The Glasgow IoT Meetup has over 1000 members and is one of the largest tech-focused Meetup groups in the West of Scotland.
CENSIS is delivering five Scottish Government-funded workshops focusing on the transformative potential of IoT across some of Scotland’s key growth industries.
IoT technology will transform business operations across Scotland and impact every sector of the economy. It’s more important than ever that Scottish companies embrace what it has to offer.
The FutureTech workshops will aim to educate and inform businesses and organisations about how to get started in IoT.
FutureTechs are being held across Scotland in the subject areas of Transport, Cities, Food & Drink, Tourism and Buildings & Hospital Estates.
Every year, we hold the CENSIS Tech Summit, Scotland’s leading sensing, imaging and IoT event – a free day of top class speakers, exhibitors, debate and networking opportunities.
The day includes lunch and a drinks reception and is a not-to-be-missed date for your diary where you will join around 600 delegates to:
-Hear from challenge providers in the space
-Meet exhibitors from industry and academia showcasing new technologies
-Understand how businesses are delivering sensing, imaging and IoT solutions across a range of markets
-Network and connect with key business people, policy makers and researchers from a variety of sectors.
If you sign up for the CENSIS mailing list, we will send you our newsletter and notice of any events coming up.
Be first to hear what’s going on in the world of sensing, imaging and IoT.
