CENSIS will be speaking at this virtual event, hosted with South of Scotland Enterprise, the Scottish Government and the Scotland 5G Centre

Aimed at businesses, communities and organisations in the South of Scotland with an interest in 5G – and how it may be used for IoT – this free webinar offers insights from industry experts, communities, businesses and organisations in Scotland who are using 5G to become more productive, efficient and competitive.

5G is more than an upgrade of 4G and offers much more than faster download speeds. It is a step-change in connectivity with the potential to deliver social, economic and environmental benefits to the whole country.

CENSIS is interested in 5G because of the promise it holds for IoT, particularly faster communications and lower latency combined with the ability to connect more and more devices to the internet.

South of Scotland Enterprise, the Scottish Government and the Scotland 5G Centre can offer further support to businesses and organisations in the South of Scotland interested in implementing 5G following this event. This is also timely with the recent announcement of the 5G Innovation Hub in Dumfries, which will provide many opportunities for 5G innovation in the South of Scotland
