Sensing and imaging technologies could help minimise risks

On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organisation (WHO) assessed COVID-19 as a pandemic and the Scottish Government announced the resulting ‘lockdown’ for Scotland on 23 March 2020.  As we gradually move through the phases of changing current restrictions, it is apparent that COVID-19 is likely to remain a threat for some time to come and organisations will have to find the best way to organise their workspaces and maximise the safety of their workforce while minimising infection risks.

Carefully considered processes and procedures will play a key role in achieving and maintaining physical distancing. However, there is increasing interest in using sensing, imaging  and IoT technologies to reduce risk and we will provide an ongoing overview of these technologies to help organisations decide which technology will suit their needs.

What to do next?

You may have a few questions once you’ve read through this section, or have some ideas you would like to talk through.  Why don’t we have an initial chat about how your organisation can use technology to reduce the risks of COVID-19 in the workplace.
